I would not recommend either, the Lite models always have a weaker soc than the top models.
Have a look at the subsidiary Honor. Such an Honor 10 would be the better choice in my opinion. But both should not lay on Snapchat, and if it is because of the app and not on the phone.

The phone has one of the fastest processors on the market, so yes. For social media, the next 80 euro device from the Aldi is enough. But you have a slightly better performance and a high-quality mobile phone.
If you want a cheaper phone with even better camera, I would recommend the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 with 64 / 128GB memory. Is definitely the best for the money.

Personally, I personally do not quite understand that… Sure, these smartphones are less efficient than their "big brothers", but they are also cheaper and sufficient for your purposes.
I even have a P8 lite lying around at home and even on this device, social media apps work fine.
The only point of contention would really only be the camera. If you post a lot yourself and want to have good pictures, it would probably still worth a look at alternative devices.
However, if you should only post occasionally, then you can confidently access one of the two devices, your question. Whether you buy the Mate 20 or P20, it does not matter, because the apps run equally well on both.
