I'm a big huawei fan myself and am not that enthusiastic about appel because it is simply not good value for money. But I would like to know what your favorite cell phone is and why?
For me, Samsung. I just fell in love with the software and I couldn't be as productive as I'm now without it. Otherwise the Pixel phones, one plus and just Nokia.
Not a Huawei fan because no more Android updates.
OnePlus
Offer good smartphones that can keep up with Samsung and Apple devices at a good price. The community is also excellent. In addition, you can even modify the smartphone (root, install custom ROM, etc.) without invalidating the guarantee.
Actually don't have any. It all depends on what specs the cell phone has at what price. I currently find the Oppo x2 pro very cool
Nokia. I think the batteries are very good. Nokias have always worked for me for more years than other cell phones with friends. I also found the service great. And I can change the battery for everyone that I use and the (standard) miniSIM fits. I use Nokia smartphones and keypad phones.
Apple
Of course, when it comes to price-performance, at least in terms of hardware, Apple is pretty overpriced in my opinion. However, I personally think a cell phone is not only about hardware bells and whistles, but also a good operating system, good connectivity and security. I generally think the operating system is better. Apple cell phones are supported for years over several software update cycles and especially with newer models these are no longer slowed down (too much). With Android (correct me if I'm wrong) it's usually over after 3-4 major updates, then it's time to buy a new phone. There's also 1 Apple and not 100 different distributions, which are ultimately completely the same. Plus, Apple is almost foolproof. Of course, if you download things from dubious websites and then wonder why he / she / it (?) Has a virus on your cell phone, you can't help, but otherwise Apple is a safe operating system. Content can be loaded almost exclusively from Apple programs and these have been checked very often. In contrast, with Android you can download anything and quickly catch a virus if you are not careful.
I also have to say that Apple has really good customer support, something I've never seen with Android companies. In my opinion, the all-round connectivity such as Airdrop or Airprint are also very convenient for Apple users to use.
But that leads us to other problems:
You can gloss over all of this, but you can also see it from the other side: The operating system can't really be custom-designed. While you can often install different themes with Android, this is only possible with Apple, if at all, by jailbreaking. The "safe" download of verified programs and files can also be a limitation. While Android can download all programs and files, Apple is stuck in its own world and can't get out.
In addition, the security of the Apple system is also a thorn in the side of network experts. A sensible implementation of Apple devices within a network is tedious and often error-prone.
There's a lot more to say here, but I've shown my punk fairly clearly. The fact for me is that I continue to give Apple my money, even if I don't get that much hardware or invest it overpriced.
As far as I know, Huawei still uses Android, but these are open source versions without any Google services.
Are there any updates to newer Android versions? Because I thought that it just doesn't exist anymore.
I don't quite understand it either. I once read somewhere that Huawei gets Android through APK's (or something) from the Internet, but it looks like they have their own operating system. I don't know. Have a look on the internet, there are many articles too.
Yes, that's exactly what I didn't want at all and found it better to spread my unproven ideas to everyone on the Internet. My bad I guess.
