I thought these are 2 different brands going their own way, but then I heard something from Huawei's second brand would be Honor.
"In 2014, Huawei founded the subsidiary brand Honor. The new smartphones Honor 6 and 3C are sold under this brand. [28]"
Why did Huawei, Honor founded? Who needs 2 brands?
Is just a subsidiary that just use the same Socs and the same firmware, but have their own design / price-performance behavior
Is a cheap brand. It is aimed with the same technology to less demanding customers at a lower price. So you can maximize the profit significantly.
Another good example is the VW group. Audi, VW, Skode, all the same!
Have I wondered because Honor 10 for 400 euro is not even credible compared to the huawei p20 lite for 370 euro.
"Honor" is a trademark of Huawai. Is marketed as a separate product line with a slightly different target audience. The "Honor" devices are sometimes somewhat less powerful, but z. B. Based on housing often processed high quality.
So these are devices for people who technically do not need the very latest version, but where it depends on a better look and better feel.
I prefer the Huawei the better design but Honor delivers a better value for money.
