My Huawei Honor 8x has a big battery, so it's slowly charging. At least with the original device. Are there universal cables that load very fast?
The charging power that is given in ampere since the voltage is nominally always the same.
Fast charger have over 2 amps. For example Something here
As mentioned by the poster, all USB chargers have the same voltage (5V) but do not provide the same charging current (in Amperes). The best chargers (brand devices for tablets, expensive cell phones, or selected NoNames) create 2, and some to 2.1 A. This corresponds to 5 V also an el. Power of 10 watts. Some MultiLaders have a higher performance, but on a USB port, it is still only 2 A / 10 W.
However, the charging cable also affects the power / current! Long, cheap cables have thin wires and therefore a great resistance! This can be measured with an app, OR with a USB multimeter, which is plugged between the device and the charging cable (2-5 euro).
Under ideal conditions one would theoretically have to be able to recharge 3750 mAh at 2100 mA in just under 2 h, but the charging electronics in the device reduce the charging current, the fuller the battery is to save it! Therefore, it takes then but in spite of best conditions 3 hours.
I did not find at Saturn Media and so!
I did not know that you are uncertain! 3 hours, oha…
Is only a rough estimate and with each manufacturer and device something different! It rarely reaches the theoretical optimum, ie 2100 mA and even then regulates the device depending on the state of charge from the power. This will take you from 50% to 100% much longer than from 0% to 50%! Supposedly, it would even be the easiest to charge from 20% and then only up to 80% (if you do not just load overnight).
How long does your device currently charge from 0 to 100%?
The Honor 8X does not support fast charging technology. So it can't absorb so much power.
If your current power supply has an output of less than 2 amps at 5 volts, upgrading to 2 amps should help a bit. Faster than that, it can't load.
In 2 and a half hours
Hmm, I have a doubt that it will go much faster! The theoretical minimum is 1:48 (3750 mAh at 2100 mA), but the 2100 mA are practically never transmitted and towards the end the current is still throttled!
Little tip, Saturn and Media Markt have a mixed calculation. The TV is on offer but with cables and accessories is neatly laid down. Was on vacation and needed a charging cable. At Saturn would have cost something over 20 €.
