What do you think? Huawei has already hit it, Google services such as PlayStore etc. Have been shut down. Now "follows" Xiaomi?
As I wrote in your other question, it affects Huawei because of its network technology, where Huawei is the market leader.
Xiaomi does not sell something like that, which is why something like this is unlikely to happen.
The United States government has done this twice. It was ZTE and is still Huawei. In both cases, the reason was in a common industry. It was the cellular industry. Xiaomi is currently not in the mobile phone industry.
The USA also has financial difficulties due to the lack of business with Huawei. The business between Huawei and Google or Intel, Microsoft and co brings in some money and thus taxes for the government.
Xiaomi is also a strong global player like Huawei. Huawei is still ahead of Xiaomi in the smartphone market, but that doesn't mean that Xiaomi can be neglected.
The allegations that support this action have not yet been substantiated. With Xiaomi there should also be a good reason for it, unless there's an air of magic, as it could be the case with Huawei (guess).
Ultimately, it harms the customer. They do not have Google services, which are particularly popular in Europe. In addition, the competition is decreasing. New technologies could come later and at a higher price.
