Does it make sense to buy a Huawei cell phone?

About a year ago there was this dispute between the USA and Huawei and now it has become pretty quiet about it.

So my question is, does it make sense to buy a Huawei phone now and do all Google apps work?

All Google apps are still working.

It depends on which models. The P40 e.g. Has no Google services. However, these can be easily installed and there's also App Gallery from Huawei itself.

Huawei is a real nice… Brand for me. Much in Chinese, apps are not updated.
