For Chrome on the 3 dots in the top right and then unchecked in desktop mode.
I assume you are looking at YT in the browser.
Just click on the 3 dots in the top right.
=> There's a check mark next to desktop mode => You can activate and deactivate it here

Download MalT YT Vanced from http://www.vanced.app. That should also work completely without Google services and then you even have no advertising.
