Is there any way to allocate more RAM to the APU?

I have the Huawei Matebook D for school purposes, but it feels a little lame. I looked and the APU only has one GB available. I would like that to 2 or if I could upgrade the Ram even to 4 GB. Is there a setting / a program for this or is it fixed and can't be changed?

(The processor is a Ryzen 7 with a Vega 10)

It feels a little lame

When gaming or when working normally?

Because when working, the problem shouldn't be with the graphics card. Unless you do something with Blender or something like that.

The performance is sufficient for school purposes, and that's what the Matebook is intended for. You can't "upgrade" a GraKa with more memory.

The APU does not have a dedicated VRAM, but uses the normal RAM. If you allocate more RAM to the APU, you effectively have less for programs and operating system. It makes more sense to reduce the available reserved ram to the lowest possible. So you have more RAM for your programs

So it's gambling but Need for Speed from 2006 ๐Ÿ˜…

yes, well, I'm too dull for blenderโ€ฆ

OK thanks for the answer

Ok thanks

I meant that too. It is clear to me that the APU does not have its own graphics memory. At the moment it taps 1 GB of normal RAM. And I thought to upgrade to 12 GB so that the APU could have even more RAM available

Pr

The APU automatically takes more RAM when it needs it. Allocating more RAM to the APU would only reduce the amount of RAM you have for programs. The RAM can't be upgraded. https://www.windowscentral.com/can-you-upgrade-ram-huawei-matebook-d-amd-ryzen
